Project Introduction:  

The project “Building the Foundation for Strengthening   Civil Society Coalitions and networks” is on-going since 15 December 2009 to 30 November 2009.Our Grassroots people aware from this program. 

The project aims to increase citizen’s participation and involvement of civil society within Anti –Corruption Movement. PROGATI   Project civil society coalition and network strengthening activities and anti-corruption awareness campaign.  

Modules Develop, Training and (Anti-corruption /  Citizen Monitoring / Budget oversight Cam ) three items of Campaigns  main activities of this program. 

Project Goal: 

To reduce Corruption by ensuring   Transparency, Accountability and Responsibility.

Project Objective: 

  • To increase Citizens Participation and involvement of civil society within Anti-Corruption movement.
  • To build public awareness against corruption at the grass roots level.
  • To bring together the mass and local leaders to raise their voice against corruption.

Project Challenge:
  • Time is too short to organ such campaign.
  • Attitude of audience in rural areas and urban areas was varied.
  • Time is needed to apply the citizen monitoring tools such as from a coordinating  committee and other related.
  • Many people said, this program is not sufficient. 
  • Some remote project areas become difficult to cover due to poor road and communication facilities.  
Project Learning:
  • Govt. Officials, LEB s and Political leaders are welcomed the Campaign and willingly taking part in.
  • Public Service is not the opportunity. It is   public Rights –This slogan motivated people very much.
  • Many organization received training on Citizen monitoring   of Public Services and National Budget. But in some case , there was a struggle between the organizations who were working in the same locality. All of them had agreed to conduct the campaign, but all are not equally capable and do not  have similar acceptance  in local level.
  • Time is very important for Campaigns Schedule.
  • The women leaders need to move with measured steps for the next Program.
Project Recommendation:
  • Collective attempt should   be  taken for follow up along with awareness building.
  • Many people join this program. Many people said, It’s different movement, we support this movement. People demand for more publicity and mobilization against corruption.
  • The committee can be formed in Union level. A committee can be formed at Up zilla and district level.
  • Perfect Training is very need for this Program.
  • Time is need to apply the Campaigns Program.
