Democracy and Governance Program
An Alternative Programmatic Intervention to Develop Grassroots Women Leadership in Union Parishads funded by Swiss Development Agency for Cooperation (SDC) implemented in 32 Unions of 4 Upazilla under Khulna and Bagerhat districts. This is a project dealing with socio-political empowerment of women through women organizational approach interacting with Local Government Institutions and local level citizens in enhancing governance at the grassroots level and ensuring people's rights and privileges. The project also aims at women participation in Union Parishad activities as well as direct involvement in UP as elected UP members.
